Day 46

I have found something that can satisfy my sweet tooth pretty well and not add many carbs. A bit of chocolate. I did not realize that it was not all that bad in carbs. A whole bar is only 22 ECC carbs. I just have 1/4 of the bar maybe once a day and of course count the carbs which is 5.5 against my total so that means pretty much only breakfast where I have pretty much no carbs. But still at least it is sweet, and helps keep the cravings away. Sometimes just know there is something you can have at least a little bit of can help a lot. Of course I chose dark chocolate because it also has health benefits. Also, I actually seem to weigh less after work than when I wake up which at first I thought was odd but then thinking about the fact that I do not always get to eat at work and I am working thus sweating and peeing and not getting as much as I could to drink, though I am sure I usually get what I am supposed to or more as I pretty much always have a tall cup of water handy. I went for my first walk today. It was not a long one. I went .6 miles around the block and timed myself to see how fast I walked which turned out to be exactly 3 miles per hour so according to the calculators I burned 104 calories. I will work up to walking around the block 5 times so that I am going for a total of 3 miles which should take about 1 hours. The cool thing is that at first you are going down hill a bit and then on the way back it gets much harder because you are going up hill so it has built in hard and easy periods and since it only takes 12 minutes to go around that is about 3 minutes down 3 level, three up, 3 level. Nice I think.

Day 43

I did get back down to 267 this week. If I had not gotten sick I would probably lost more weight but that is ok. I still got a 3 lbs weight loss for the week and that is just fine with me. I will do some walking this week and see if that helps at all. I am sure it will. I think that I am going to buy some free weights here soon. So far I am definitely meeting my goal. I hope I can continue to meet my goal as time goes on.

Day 42

Ok. After 2 days of not adhering to my diet exactly, not that I meant all out or anything, I am now officially on it again. The reason for my lapse ? Illness. One should not starve ones self while sick and when you are loosin weight as fast as I am that is a sure sign that you are in effect, starving yourself and since I wanted to get better as soon as possible I relaxed my standards. For the most part I was still on the diet but for supper I was more lax to give myself more energy that way hopefully while I was sleeping my body would be able to fight the virus better. It seems that it may have worked as I am over it in just two days. I still have a bit of a runny nose but that is totally dealable compared with a sore throat and feeling like I got ran over by a truck. Now I can start my weight loss again. Today I weighted in at 68.8 which is just over a pound more than I weight at my lowest. Still a loss for the week though and that makes me really happy. I am still using Nivea and I like it. I will most assuredly be buying more when this one runs out. I have added a couple more supplements. I am now taking Centrum, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin E, and Cod Liver Oil. I would like to add Co-Q10 but it is quite expensive and I would like to know more about if it really does anything or not before I get into purchasing it. As for all the other supplements, I am not sure that I need them. Centrum has most of what you need. I added the cod liver oil because when I work my triceps my elbows pop a lot and I have red that the Cod Liver Oil will help lubricate my joints so that will not happen. I will keep you all informed on this, I am interested in seeing if it really helps or if it is just another one of those diet myths, but for 2 bucks a bottle it is certainly worth testing out. Besides it is loaded with Omega 3’s which are good. I get them from other food I eat but a bit more probably will not hurt.

Day 39

Ok. So I seem to have come down with a cold. That really sucks, I am going to up my calorie intake a bit since they require more calories to get over any sickness. I am not going to go off my diet though. I am still loosing pretty steadily and that makes me very happy. What does not make me very happy that has mostly nothing to do with this diet is that the hard drive in my laptop has died again. Now I have to get the $$ to get a new one, install everything again, probably call M$ again since they say I have used my code too much and then try and see if I can recover anything off the old drive. Kinda bites because that is what I was doing all my research for diet and exercise on but I can always use my fiancee’s computer to do that, but that means less time and I am confined to desk where as before I could roam and not even be at home. Oh, and READ LABELS. I bought something the other day at Walmart and I got the wrong stuff. Oh well, maybe it will be good. It is beef patties instead of sausage patties. I normally do not buy precooked things but these are the same price as raw and are actually pretty good. I usually have one patty in the morning. If it was not for the sausage I would not get enough calories since I usually eat two eggs in the morning and that is hardly enough calories to get me threw until lunch which unfortunately is usually six hours away. Sometimes I also eat a piece of string cheese. I find that it helps me feel full without adding too many calories since it is mozzarella. Sometimes a small piece of jerky as well. I still munch on sunflower seeds all day and almonds every now and then. I just bought some salmon and tried cooking it in the oven. It did not stink up the house so that is good. Salmon is one thing my girl cannot stand the smell of, it makes her sick. Hamburger Macaroni from Hamburger helper is the same way to me. I don’t get it, I love macaroni and hamburger but you put them together and they are gross, however it is only the Hamburger Helper brand that literally makes me want to throw up at the smell of it. Sorry for the long post, I just am not able to talk to well and I guess that I am taking it out on the internet by talking more here LOL.

Day 37

So, I have been doing great. I had me a cheat day. I only cheating in the evening however as I did not want to overdue it. I went out with my fiancee and my friend Tiney. We had some Mexican Villa. I also went out and bought a scale so I can weight in at home. Now I will weight in with my clothes off in the morning so it will be a few lbs lower this week than it should be as the weight of the clothes have always been in my weight before. At least it will be more accurate this way. I look forward to my next cheat day, or rather meal more than likely because I find it hard to cheat. Actually, the book calls them planned vacations. I am taking one a month, not what they recomend but still, one meal a month will not kill a diet and one of my favourite quotes is “Don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never make it out alive”. I am not sure who said that but I would love to know. Oh, and the Nivea is working pretty good and I have lost a total of 2.5 inches off my waist. I have a lot more to go though.

Day 29

Ok, I was right on the verge of 276 and I am going to blame it on overeating yesterday and being plugged up if you know what I mean. I have lost just under 2 inches. And I mean just under like 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch. I have started to use a skin firming lotion called Nivea. I have heard good things about it. Needless to say I am very happy with myself.

Day 27

Well, I have hit my 20 pound mark for the month. I am very xcited about that. I have two more days left so maybe I can exced it as well. I think that I would like to go for 10 pounds a month of weight loss. I am still not totally sure what my final wight should be. I will just have to wait and see.

Day 26

Well, tomorrow I get to weigh in again, hopefully I have done alright. Once I have passed day 28 I will probably have one cheat meal out with my friends. You have to have those every now and then or you would go crazy LOL. Last night I went to my fiancee’s family’s and had to watch them eat home made lasagna and all kinds of other good stuff, and some cake and ice cream. I ate nothing because there was absolutely nothing there that I could have eaten. It was so hard. Then I tried to stop at a restaraunt on the way home and they refused to make the burger the way I wanted it. They have never refused before. I may give there manager a call tonight. Never thought I would have a problem ordering just meat and cheese. Most places are happy not to give you everything you paid for. Just about time to cook my breakfast.

Day 22 update

Well, looks like I weigh 1 more pound than 2 days ago but, to be honest, I expected that. Yesterday I just could not stop my hunger. I did not break my diet, no way, but I did eat a lot and well, until it gets to the other end, it is just hanging out in me intestines and so making me weigh more. I mean I just kept eating. Sometimes I get like this, the unending hunger. But it usually only lasts one day and I am sure that the weight is just from that. Well, time to get stuck by a big needle.

Day 22

I am getting ready to weigh in and donate. I have adjusted my ticker on the right to show what the diet book says that my target weight should be. It is higher than when I was a teen but I did go to the gym a lot there for a while and I know that even though I weigh the same that I am not as big as I used to be, meaning that I have more muscle than I used to so my last target goal does become unrealistic in that light. Now, when I get close to that weight it may change if I see that I need to loose more/less. I think I would probably need to loose a bit more. Anyways. I will give another update here shortly on my new weight.
